The first step would be to book an appointment. All new patients will require a consult first and need to fill out patient forms. Please allow 15 to 20 min to fill the online intake form which will be sent to all new patients. If you can not fill them online please connect with me and we can get a paper copy to you. Thank you!
On the day of your appointment: Make sure that you have eaten and are not hungry before the session. Wear comfortable clothes and bring water and a snack if you like.
If possible, please refrain from entering until 5 min before your appointment. Please remove your shoes and disinfect your hands upon entering. Hand sanitizer is provided at the entrance and there is a bathroom if you prefer to wash your hands.
The consult will take anywhere from 60 - 90 minutes. I will ask you a range of questions starting with your main concern. Based on the consult I will make a diagnosis and treatment plan.
The treatment will take anywhere from 30 - 60 min. With acupuncture the needles will be left in for 15 - 30 min. During this time I will leave the room and you should be relaxed and enjoy the quiet time. For our first meeting I will check on you after 10 min to assure you are feeling comfortable.
Once the treatment is over, we will discuss when and what you should be booking for the next session. I encourage you to hydrate and take it easy for the rest of the day.
Acute (short term) concerns usually take a couple of treatments per week for a short period of time.
Chronic concerns usually take one treatment per week and takes longer periods of time.
For prevention or maintenance every two weeks or once a month (dependent on your level of activity) visits are sufficient.
Questions or concerns are encouraged to be voiced at anytime.
